Daniel Valentin, Esq.

Daniel Valentin earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Florida International University, where he also obtained a Pre-Law Certification and a Certification in Law and Ethics. During his time at FIU, Daniel was an active member of the university’s marching band. Daniel was consistently named to the Dean’s List from Fall 2017 through Spring 2019 in recognition of his academic achievement and performance.

Daniel received his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law. While in law school, he participated in the Immigration Clinic, representing asylum-seeking clients under attorney supervision. He conducted detailed client interviews and detention center visits to develop factual and legal claims, prepared clients for credible-fear and asylum interviews, and advocated on behalf of individuals facing removal proceedings. In addition, he collaborated on an Amicus Curiae Brief submitted to the Supreme Court of the United States. Daniel also clerked for for the Honorable Ellen Venzer and the Honorable Andrea Wolfson.

He further strengthened his courtroom and criminal law experience as an extern with the Capital Litigation Unit of the Miami-Dade County Public Defender’s Office, working on complex and high-stakes matters. In 2022, Daniel was selected as a Fellow with Yale Legal Services Organization. In this role, he conducted in-depth legal research and drafted memoranda addressing post-conviction and parole issues. He met with incarcerated clients to assess parole eligibility, attended and observed parole hearings, and collaborated with supervising attorneys on systemic criminal justice reform initiatives, including proposed revisions to Connecticut’s mandatory Life Without Parole guidelines.

Daniel earned the Director’s Book Award in Litigation Skills.

Daniel brings to his practice a strong foundation in litigation, strategic legal analysis, and a client-centered approach grounded in diligence, preparation, and results. Daniel was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2024 and currently devotes 100% of his practice in the area of marital and family law.
